Beetroot Hummus

Beetroot hummus can be enjoyed with vegetables as an afternoon snack or with whole wheat pita bread as a post-workout snack.

Chick peas are a great source of plant protein and fibers. Protein and fibers help keep you full for longer.

Difficulty: Easy
Preparation time: 15 mins


  • 2 cups of cooked or canned chick peas
  • 1 ½ cups of diced cooked beetroots
  • 2-3 cloves of garlic
  • 1 tbs of olive oil
  • 1 tbs of lime juice
  • ½ tsp of salt
  • ½ tsp of cayenne pepper (optional)
  • ½ tsp of paprika


  1. In a food processor, blend all ingredients together
  2. Enjoy with pita, pita chips or vegetables!
